SPOTIFY DAILY MIXES

With so many songs, audiobooks, podcasts, ASMR, meditations—all things sound—on Spotify, it’s product marketers needed to the platform feel digestible and fresh. Their new approach, “Daily Mixes”, churned out favourites from decades, genres, and bands. People could tune in daily to listen to familiar mixes sprinkled with new stuff they never heard before. 

Beyond the standard media mix, this verbal platform was flexible enough to allow for a variety of executions in social and beyond. We even created a verbal and visual design system to standardize executions for the Spotify team after our engagement. 

Everything you like. More of what you’ll love.

In order to communicate this, we decided to split the affection people had towards music with “like” and “love”. With a simple line to wrap in the songs they already like and the excitement of hearing something we know they’ll love, we were able to communicate the value proposition of these new mixes simply.
